The Chosen

A well-told story of Jesus' life based on the gospels.

A New Ticket

A-new-ticket
A modern, Pilgrim’s Progress-style analogy of the cross’ great exchange.
On his journey through Town, Man loses his valuable ticket to a seat on an aeroplane that will take him far away.
Who will pay the price for a new one?

Who is Jesus?

Who-is-Jesus

The most influential person in history, Jesus' biographies have topped the international bestseller list for 2,000 years. We organise our calendar around his birth, define Western law and morality by his teachings, and 2.5 billion across the globe call him their personal Saviour. But he's also the most controversial person in history. He's been labelled a fairytale, revolutionary, controlling propaganda, a conman, a prophet, an angel or demon and God. In this engaging talk, Ben explores Jesus' claims about himself from John 8:48-59, and unpacks those 7 labels to see which stick.

We're left with the question 'who do you say Jesus is?' and the implications for our lives. If Jesus is God, we're not here by chance, we don't get to decide what is like, and we need to listen to Jesus' message about life and death. (John 8:48-59)

The Journey

The Journey is an overview of the whole Bible story in six episodes, from Creation to New Creation. The Bible takes us on an epic journey from brokenness and death to restoration and life. It tells the story of a King and his amazing kingdom, and the sacrifice he made to give his life to save ours.

  1. The wilderness: God's creation and humanity's fall into brokenness (Genesis 1-3)
  2. The night sky: God's promise to Abraham (Genesis 12:1-4, 15:1-6)
  3. The stopover: a look at King David and the promises of a perfect forever king and a perfect forever kingdom (2 Samuel 7:11-16)
  4. The storm: our journey takes a turn for the worse as we look at the prophets and the exile of God’s people to Babylon (Jeremiah 25:4-9, 29:10-14)
  5. The crossing: a look at Jesus and the good news of his life, death and resurrection (Mark 10:45, Luke 24:27)
  6. Journey's end: our journey draws to a close as we look at the Church and the promised new creation (Matthew 25:31-34, Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 41, John 3:36, Revelation 21:1-4)

The solution to life's problems

life-problems-in-page-image

Problems like disease, disaster and death have always beaten mankind. What's the solution to life's problems? However good our healthcare treatment, cancer sadly still often wins. However up-to-date our infrastructure, floods still wreak havoc and as for death, that still claims a 100% hit rate. What if there was someone who showed they had power over disease, disaster and death? Would you listen to their answers about life's problems?
